Aesthetics and Functionality: Customizing Your Patio Doors

Your patio doors create more than a seamless transition between your outdoor and indoor spaces. They also serve as key architectural elements, enhancing your home’s aesthetic appeal and safety. At Renewal by Andersen® of Central PA, we believe that with the right combination of customization options, we can enhance your patio doors’s beauty and security.

Our Patio Doors

We have three general patio door styles. Our hinged French patio doors exhibit a traditional European craftsmanship, exuding Old World elegance. Our sliding French doors, on the other hand, add a minimalist and clean look to your home. You may choose to have a right or left panel glide orientation for your convenience.

Lastly, our sliding contemporary doors channel a more modern appeal with their slight frames, inspired by the 20th century’s architectural developments. They are also structurally engineered for smooth opening and closing, giving you easy access to your indoors and outdoors.

Color and Finish Options

Since your patio doors are primarily transitional fixtures, their interior and exterior finish should be reconciled. This helps maintain your home’s visual harmony, preserving its well-thought architectural design. Our exterior hue options include White, Canvas, Sandtone, and our signature Terratone®. Our interior colors, on the other hand, also come available in these same colors, plus pine, oak, and maple. These three authentic wood choices may even be painted or stained to complement your decor.

Our Hardware Choices

For your convenience, you may choose hardware options for your sliding or hinged French doors. Our chic handles, Yuma®, Tribeca®, Encino®, and Anvers®, perfectly enhance the modern style of our sliding contemporary doors. If you’re looking for a more timeless piece, check out our Covington™, Albany, Whitmore®, and Newbury® choices. They also come available in various colors, like brass, satin nickel, and bronze. We apply special coatings as well to prevent tarnish and corrosion for many years’s worth of beauty and performance.

Most importantly, our patio doors feature impenetrable security options. Our gliding patio doors feature our signature Andersen® reach-out locking system, while our hinged variety has a five-point locking system. Both ensure enhanced safety for you and your family’s peace of mind.
