It has been a great year for Renewal by Andersen of Central PA and we believe the best way to celebrate is to give back to those less fortunate during the holiday season.
During Thanksgiving, we committed to donating 10 dinners to families around Central PA that were in need. Thanks to our generous staff, we were able to get all of the mandatory items and add special treats for each family.
This Christmas, we are proud to adopt an underprivileged family for the 15th year in a row. This is also sponsored by the Salvation Army.
Our family, this year, is a single mom, who unfortunately like millions of Americans have lost her job. She has a wonderful 9 year old son. After being asked about her wish list, the mother was totally focused on her son and his list of desperately needed winter clothes, shoes, gloves, hats, pajamas, socks, etc. He loves basketball and especially the LA Lakers, but doesn’t own a basketball. After some persuading, she did confess to needing some clothing and a pair of shoes, as well as a Turkey dinner for Christmas.
We will be collecting money and items up until December 19th. Everyone here will be contributing as much as they can, but any little bit helps! Whatever money is not raised by our team, the difference will be donated by Renewal by Andersen of Central PA.
As a special treat for our family this year, we are sending them on a special trip to see his favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers, play the Philadelphia 76ers in December. His mother said it was the “dream of a lifetime.”
We couldn’t be happier to help out this year and we want to wish you Happy Holidays. Thanks for all your support in helping to make this Mother and Son very happy for the holidays!
