Here are some tips to keep your Renewal by Andersen replacement windows in good shape.

Gently Clean Your Windows

Cleaning Renewal by Andersen replacement windows is easy. The Fibrex® material frames, sash and grilles can be cleaned using a mild solution of soap and water and a soft rag. You can use a soft brush to remove dirt.

For the High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass, use a vinegar-and-water mixture or commercially available liquid window cleaner, and a squeegee or clean cloth to wipe it dry. The interior grilles can be removed to facilitate easy cleaning. Never use sharp or abrasive objects like blades, steel wool, or solvents to clean the windows, as these could damage the glass’s exterior coating.

Dry Lubricant Is Best for Hardware

Wet or oil-based lubricants attract dirt and dust, and are not recommended for use on products with intricate moving parts, like power tools, hinges and, of course, window hardware. Instead, use dry lubricant, which is widely available in spray form in most hardware stores. It resists dirt and dust buildup, and keeps your window hardware operating smoothly.
