Renewal by Andersen®: Our Replacement Process

As Renewal by Andersen®’s full-service dealer in Central PA, Altoona, Bedford, Williamsport, and State College, we are proud to offer high-performance replacement windows that excel in aesthetics, durability and energy efficiency. We can guarantee that our windows will make your home more comfortable and attractive.

A big part of why our windows are the best in the industry is because of how we install them. In this post, we discuss how our replacement process works.

The First Steps

First, we take precise measurements of your existing window openings. We’ll then order your new windows from the Renewal by Andersen® production facility based on your exact specifications. Once your new windows are constructed and delivered to your home, we’ll prepare your home for the installation. This involves moving furniture and valuables away from the job site. Our team wearing protective footwear to avoid tracking dirt or mud into your interior.

Removing and Installation

Once your home is ready for work, we’ll then remove your old windows. Our crew will try to keep noise and debris to a minimum and will dispose of debris and waste properly. Since your new windows are made according to the measurements of your old windows, the installation process is actually pretty quick. Once we’re done installing the new windows, we’ll seal any gaps between the window and the frame to ensure the new window is airtight, weatherproof and energy efficient.

The Finishing Touches

Finally, we align and seal your new window’s interior and exterior trim and hide any insulation. Once we’re done with the finishing touch-ups, we’ll then clean our work area and polish the glass of your new windows. We put everything back where it’s supposed to be and leave your home cleaner than before.

Whether you’re installing casement windows, double-hung windows or even specialty windows, expect a hassle-free replacement process with Renewal by Andersen® of Central PA. Call us today at (717) 591-4900 to learn more about our services. We manufacture and install replacement windows throughout York, PA.
